The optimised magnetic design of the Supernova 1404 gives a huge performance advantage on 2.5” and 3” props compared to other 1404 motors, while the moderate KV reduces motor heating at full throttle.

A thicker flux ring and fine-tuned magnet overhang deliver a 30% uplift in torque compared to other 1404 motors. This additional torque is particularly valuable on Cinewhoop drones with bullnose props which are heavier and require more torque to accelerate.

For smooth, precise low-throttle control and breathtaking top-end power, AOS recommends applying throttle expo in Betaflight. Start with Throttle MID = 0 and Throttle EXPO = 0.20, adjusting EXPO to fine-tune your desired throttle response. Increase EXPO for greater precision at low throttle or reduce it for a sharper, more aggressive feel.
