What’s new about the E3D Revo HotEnd?

First of all, a reduced Z dimension with an increased print distance means you can use dense materials with minimal risk of heat sink jam issues. Whereas temperature variation was a known issue with the V5, this updated HotEnd comprises a modified thermistor cartridge holder that is much more efficient at holding it snug against the extruder displacement, for a more consistent temperature distribution.

When used alongside the original thermistor cartridge, the E3D Revo HotEnd is capable of reaching 285˚C. However, pair it with an update (additional electronics required) and you can achieve temperatures as high as 400˚C… that’s hot!

And yet, internal PTFE coating means that your high-temperature filament won’t burn or overheat the metal. This means you can comfortably use materials like polycarbonate or nylon, and print with absolute precision.
