What was reported
After a firmware update the FC won’t boot (no LEDs/USB) though 5V passes through; draws 0.3–5W on USB. Conformal coating burnt off the HD-system (9V) regulator inductor. BrainFPV confirmed a hardware defect.
Our take
Treat as dead: failed HD regulator likely dragging the board down. A repairer could replace the regulator/inductor; otherwise parts. Conformal-coated. A Crossfire Nano RX Pro may still be soldered on.
Repair hint
Replace the failed HD (9V) regulator/inductor, then reflash.

LUCKY DIP: faulty customer return, sold as-is. No returns, no warranty.
This listing is for one returned BrainFPV Radix 2 HD 30x30 flight controller (BMI270, 2022 version). It came back to us in May 2024 after BrainFPV themselves confirmed a hardware defect, and it's been on the shelf since.
How the price works: it starts at $50 and drops every night at midnight for 30 days, down to a $15 floor. The floor price only lasts 24 hours. If nobody grabs it, the price goes back up to $50 and the 30-day countdown starts again. Wait too long and you could miss it, or have to wait another month.

What was reported
- The board worked and was set up. After a firmware update (INAV) it was unplugged, and the next time it was plugged in, the FC wouldn't boot: no status LEDs and no USB connection. A factory reset made no difference.
- 5V still passed through (the receiver and GPS powered up), but the board drew an unusual 0.3–5W on USB alone.
- The board was conformal-coated. Under UV light, the coating had burnt off one part only: the inductor of the voltage regulator for the HD (9V) system.
- BrainFPV support reviewed photos, agreed it's a hardware fault, and approved a replacement.
Our take
- A failed HD-system regulator that's likely dragging down the board, so treat the FC as dead.
- Could score: an electronics repairer could replace the failed regulator/inductor. The rest of the board may well be fine.
- Worst case: parts or a learning board. It's conformal-coated, so expect a coated finish.
- A TBS Crossfire Nano RX Pro may still be soldered to it. We'll confirm on the label and photos.
