What was reported

Came in for a repair quote: one motor (rear right) would not power up, pointing to a blown ESC channel on the AIO. That motor has been unsoldered during diagnosis. The repair never went ahead.

Our take

Otherwise looks mint. SucceX-D Whoop F4 AIO = FC and ESC on one board; one dead motor usually means one ESC channel (MOSFET/driver) has failed. The motor is probably fine: fit a replacement 4S whoop AIO (F411), resolder, load the config, rebind the Crossfire. The Polar Nano Vista (DJI digital) camera/VTX alone makes it worth having. Not powered up or tested by us.

Repair hint

Replace the 4S whoop AIO (F411, target IFLIGHT_F411_PRO), resolder the rear-right motor, rebind the Crossfire.

Are you looking to buy LUCKY DIP · iFlight Alpha A85 HD Polar Nano 4S BNF (Crossfire): Blown AIO, Sold As-Is in Australia?

LUCKY DIP: faulty drone, sold as-is. No returns, no warranty.

This listing is for one iFlight Alpha A85 HD (Polar Nano) 4S cinewhoop, BNF with a TBS Crossfire Nano receiver. It came in to us for a repair quote, the repair never went ahead, and it has been sitting on our shelf ever since. Rather than letting it gather more dust, we'd rather it went to someone who can bring it back to life.

How the price works: it starts at $180 and drops every night at midnight for 30 days, down to a $60 floor. The floor price only lasts 24 hours. If nobody grabs it, the price goes back up to $180 and the 30-day countdown starts again. Wait too long and you could miss it, or have to wait another month.

About the photos: these are photos of a new one, for reference only. They don’t show this unit or its condition. Want photos of the actual item? Email us at hello@phaserfpv.com.au and we’ll send some.

What was reported

  • One motor (rear right) would not power up, pointing to a blown ESC channel on the flight controller board.
  • That motor has been unsoldered as part of diagnosis. It's still on the frame, but its wires are loose.

Our take

Apart from the loose motor, it looks in mint condition. This quad runs a SucceX-D Whoop F4 AIO, so the flight controller and the 4-in-1 ESC are one board. A single dead motor usually means one ESC channel (a MOSFET or driver) has failed.

  • Could score: the motor is probably fine. Fit a replacement 4S whoop AIO (F411), resolder the motor, load the config, rebind the Crossfire, and you've got a near-mint HD cinewhoop for a fraction of the price.
  • Worst case: the motor is damaged too, or you part it out: Polar Nano Vista (DJI digital) camera/VTX, TBS Crossfire Nano RX, motors, ducted frame and canopy.

We haven't powered it up or bench-tested it ourselves.

From the box label

  • Receiver: TBS Crossfire Nano (v6.1 per the box)
  • Stack: SucceX-D Whoop F4 AIO · Betaflight target IFLIGHT_F411_PRO · Betaflight 4.2.9
  • Factory built and tested March 2022

Who it's for

Builders comfortable swapping a whoop AIO, soldering motor leads and setting up Betaflight and Crossfire, or anyone after HD whoop parts. Not for anyone who wants to fly straight out of the box.
