What was reported
Returned DOA: “no servo output on rudder”. One servo channel gave no output; others not reported faulty.
Our take
Not bench-tested by us. Check the servo-rail power (BEC/voltage jumper) and the INAV mixer/output setup first, since both make servo pins look dead. If genuinely faulty, the rest of the board may still be usable.
Repair hint
Check the mixer mapping/servo rail; else remap the rudder to a spare servo output in INAV/ArduPilot.

Are you looking to buy LUCKY DIP · Matek F405 Wing V2 (ICM42688-P) FC: No Rudder Servo Output, Sold As-Is in Australia?
LUCKY DIP: faulty customer return, sold as-is. No returns, no warranty.
This listing is for one returned Matek F405 Wing V2 flight controller (ICM42688-P gyro), the popular fixed-wing / INAV board. It came back to us marked DOA and has been sitting on the returns shelf since. Rather than freight it back to the supplier, we're letting it go cheap.
How the price works: it starts at $40 and drops every night at midnight for 30 days, down to a $12 floor. The floor price only lasts 24 hours. If nobody grabs it, the price goes back up to $40 and the 30-day countdown starts again. Wait too long and you could miss it, or have to wait another month.
About the photos: these are photos of a new one, for reference only. They don’t show this unit or its condition. Want photos of the actual item? Email us at hello@phaserfpv.com.au and we’ll send some.
What was reported
Returned as DOA with the note: "no servo output on rudder". So one servo channel (the one mapped to the rudder) gave no output. The other outputs weren't reported as faulty.
Our take
We haven't bench-tested it. Worth checking before you write it off:
- On the F405 Wing, the servo rail is powered by its own BEC and the servo voltage jumper/pad. A wrong jumper setting or no rail power can make outputs look dead.
- In INAV, servo outputs only work once the right mixer/platform is set (airplane/flying wing) and outputs are assigned. If the rudder isn't mapped to that output in the mixer, it won't move. Try remapping the rudder to a spare servo output; INAV and ArduPilot both let you reassign outputs.
- If it's genuinely faulty (a dead servo BEC or output stage), the rest of the board (FC, gyro, OSD, UARTs, motor outputs) may still be fine for another build.
