What kind of 3D printing fan does your setup require?
3D printing fans are designed to either push cold air over warm components, or suck hot air out of enclosed spaces. There are five parts of your 3D printer that massively benefit from one of these fans:

Control board: Your printer’s main circuits (i.e. processor and motor drivers) tend to heat up, and you can increase their lifespan by keeping them cool with a fan.

Hot end: When a print is taking place, a cooling fan will ensure nothing overheats during the print (except of course the heater block and nozzle, which need to be hot).

3D prints: By blowing a steady stream of cold air just underneath the 3D printer nozzle, the freshly-extruded filament will immediately cool down. This results in a more precise finished product.

Power supply: Without a cooling fan for the high-power transformers, transistors and resistors inside your printer’s power supply, you risk damage from overheating.

Motor: While a cooling fan for your stepper motor isn’t as common, it can help to ensure the stepper motor maintains the right running temperature consistently.
