Designed by engineers who know how dangerous a LiPo battery fire inside a home can be. The guys at Bat-Safe are RC enthusiasts and came up with a safe and awesome solution to store, transport and most importantly charge your LiPo batteries.
With a double insulated steel fireproof box, fiberglass and steel wool filter to filter the smoke and soot combine these and you control the intense heat and arrest the flames. Not only is the Bat-Safe box perfect for storing and transporting your LiPo batteries safety it's charging your batteries that make this battery box stand out from the others. Install the connecting wires from the charger to the battery via the insulated fire collar, clip the easy to use latch and your battery is safe to charge with the piece of mind that your LiPo battery inside the Bat-Safe can never cause a fire when charging. The Bat-Safe has a magnetically attached hardpoint for your charger to mount directly on the lid, Lightweight with a carry handle make this a perfect, safe solution when charging, transporting and storing your LiPo batteries.

We recommend to keep the chargers outside the box. However if you are using slot-in chargers for tool batteries, you will need to place the charger inside the box. Standard Australian 240V power plugs will not fit through the pass-through in the lid - you can to use an IEC extension cable, available separately.

Note: If you order this we will try and package your other goods inside the box to save on freight costs and keep your other goods well packaged!

It appears to be a great product solid and well made for use charging LiPo batteries. I hope I never experience a runaway charge LiPo battery to test how well the box performs. I believe it is a quality product which should provide cheap insurance against a battery fault during transport or charging.

Not using for charging only storage whilst away on holidays. Mounted horizontally on metal shelving and has adequate space for all my power tool batteries. Appears fit for purpose for preventing any out of control fires in my garage.

Bat-Safe XL Size Battery safe — peace of mind at a reasonable price.

My primary reason for purchasing the Bat-Safe XL Size Battery safe was to store the Lithium batteries that power my various tools. The construction is sturdy, fireproof with a flame arrestor and is designed to contain fire and intense heat from runaway batteries.
With the prevalence of house fires sparked by runaway batteries, either under charge or not, for me this storage medium provides peace of mind where lithium batteries are normally stored in sheds, garages and elsewhere where they are not under observation and discovery of a fire from this source can and is often catastropohic.
For me the XL Size is the most useful.

I can't say how this unit performs if a battery does fire up and I'd rather that never happens. But it looks like it is up to the task and is a very well designed and put together item. Great service from the supplier.

Excellent product - great service

Arrived in excellent condition, 2-3 days earlier than expected. Easily accommodates 3 Ryobi 18V batteries and 3 Bosch drill batteries along with 2 laptop batteries, and other small items. Bought a 48 Tools Ryobi Battery Stacker which optimised storage space and ease of access. Pre- & post-sales service from Brenton was excellent - prompt, personalised phone response to email inquiries, some great and handy spin off advice about LIPO vsLI-ion as well as fire extinguisher tips. Also got 2x LIPO pouches which are great for power banks and window blind battery storage. Highly recommended

The large Bat-Safe timely arrived in perfect condition with ample padding in the delivery box. It is well made, easy to use and adds another layer of safety when charging/storing LiPo batteries at home. I would recommend this product.

Very dissapointed when it arrived to find i paid $20 for extension leads that are $10 in the store, and on top of that are only balance leads, no xt60 or xt30 extensions. Dont buy with extension cables or you will be dissapointed, as i was. Box itself is great and very well made.
