What was reported
Brand new: on plugging in the battery, one motor started spinning on its own and smoked violently. Unplugged and returned straight away.
Our take
Not powered up by us. Classic sign of one ESC channel failing short on the Blitz E45S 4-in-1; that motor may be cooked too. The DJI O3 Air Unit alone is worth much of the price if it’s unharmed. Replace the ESC (and motor if needed) for a near-new Nazgul5 V3 HD.
Repair hint
Smoke stopper on every power-up; replace the Blitz E45S 4-in-1 ESC and check/replace that motor.

Are you looking to buy LUCKY DIP · iFlight Nazgul5 V3 6S HD O3 BNF (ELRS): Motor Smoked on Power-Up, Sold As-Is in Australia?
LUCKY DIP: faulty customer return, sold as-is. No returns, no warranty.
This listing is for one returned iFlight Nazgul5 V3 6S HD freestyle quad, BNF ELRS 2.4GHz, with a DJI O3 Air Unit. It came back to us in August 2025, looks practically new in its original box, and has been sitting on the returns shelf since. We could pay to freight it back to the overseas supplier, but we'd rather it went to someone who can bring it back.
How the price works: it starts at $350 and drops every night at midnight for 30 days, down to a $150 floor. The floor price only lasts 24 hours. If nobody grabs it, the price goes back up to $350 and the 30-day countdown starts again. Wait too long and you could miss it, or have to wait another month.

Our take
We haven't powered it up. A motor that spins and smokes the moment the battery goes in usually means one ESC channel has failed short (a stuck MOSFET on the Blitz E45S 4-in-1), and that motor may be cooked too. The ESC looks clean from the outside, but assume it needs replacing.
- The big one: the DJI O3 Air Unit alone is worth a big chunk of the price. If it's unharmed, this is a cheap way into O3.
- Could score: replace the 4-in-1 ESC (and that motor if it's burnt) and you've got a near-new Nazgul5 V3 HD.
- Worst case: parts: O3, Blitz F7 FC, 3 good motors, frame, GoPro mount and strap.
- Use a smoke stopper for every power-up until it's fixed.
