It has small carbon fiber particles to give it a slight increase in strength over standard PLA and provide Carbon Fiber look.

Please note that its recommended to use a Hardened Steel NozzleNozzle X or Vanadium as this filament is abbarssive and will wear away your standard brass nozzles.

This PLA prints rather strong parts very easily. The finish is beautiful semi matt and the strength of the parts is very good.

Finishes beautifully

This leaves is a great change from the normal, glossy shine of most other filaments on the market without looking tacky or cheap. It’s very easy to get amazing print results with even if you have very little experience. I personally run this as a replacement for PLA constantly now and I couldn’t be happier. Pluse the delivery times are excellent!

Noticeably stronger prints

My prints with this filament are noticeably stronger over standard PLA and this filament prints really clean with a 0.6mm micro-Swiss hardened steal nozzle. I’ll be back for more. I’d like it if this filament came in more colors

Not strong can’t take any heat turns floppy at 100 degrees not strong

I was going to write a good review.... took a min to to figure out settings on my anycubic but figured it out got good prints out of it my negative comment is this stuff doesn’t hold up melts in just a bit of heat in the car hard to say something is strong when 100 degrees makes it floppy...

Easy to print but use a steel nozzle

I have been using a bunch of this stuff. Keep in mind it will tear up brass nozzles, but the prints look great and it's really tough.

Only looks good, not strong material at all

This stuff makes really nice LOOKING prints but shatters easily under any stress. Not a suitable engineering material. It prints in a nice matte finish that is very good at hiding layer lines but that’s where the benefits end. If you’re only making aesthetic stuff then go for it you won’t be unhappy but this filament is garbage for any sort of strength. I had high hopes but alas it does not compare to the other carbon fiber filaments I’ve used.

makes my prints look amazing

I bought primarily for the matte aspect and it delivers well on that. Haven't tested the strength but the parts seem very sturdy. When scraping, scratching, or sanding the surface it leaves a grey look but a quick pass over it with a heat gun (or torch if your careful) takes it back to an awesome matte black finish. One think to look out for is sunlight exposure, it absorbs sunlight very quickly and becomes extremely pliable; almost al dente for you pasta lovers.

I'm making camera parts and I couldn't break the parts made with this carbon fiber pla by hand. Printed 220c, with 50% cooling, .2 layer height, 20mms.The extruder heat test showed that quality is good from 190c to 220c. Best strength at settings above.Did clog my nozzle with a chunk of fiber, but that is too be expected. Just make sure to have extra steal nozzles.

Great print quality and much stronger

Every print I have had with this has turned out beautiful. I've really been able to get this dialed in. Adhesion has been great.You DO need a hardened nozzle because if you use a standard brass nozzle, it will not last long.I would highly recommend this brand.

Need HUGE models for actual color change

Most stuff I print is somewhat small, maybe in the 5 cubic inch range or less. I had to print four different things about that size before it started changing colors. Each section has huge lengths of the same color. There's another review on here saying the opposite but then they have a picture of a foot tall vase...not a normal size print.The material itself is nice. Comes out shiny, I didn't have to change anything on my Ender 3 to get it to work. Decent material but I'm upset that there is 10+ foot sections of single colors. It needs to be every 1 or two feet or something.

Easy to Print and Very Strong

I have been printing standard PLA for awhile and wanted to expand my horizons by tryingdifferent materials. I saw this Carbon Fiber PLA and thought it would be an interesting trial. I printed the tool holder in the photos with my normal PLA settings (20mm/sec first layer, 45 for perimeters, 55 for infill, and 35 for solid layers) on a machine with a direct drive extruder and all metal hotend.Layer height was 0.2mm with a 0.4mm nozzle and an extrusion width of 0.5mm. I also sliced it with 2 perimeters, 3 bottom layers, 4 top layers, and 10% infill. The bed temperature I used was 50C for the first layer and 45C for the rest on a borosilicate glass plate with an application of glue stick. Bed adhesion was excellent without needing to try too hard to remove the finished print. See the photos for a look at how great the first layer lays down. For the extruder I used 240C which would normally be very high but I first tried printing with a hardened steel nozzle that requires more heat for the poorer thermal conductivity. The steel nozzle wouldn't print, but it wasn't the filament, the nozzle was junk. After switching back to a brass nozzle, the filament printed beautifully, just like a normal high quality PLA. The finish is a very flat black due to the Carbon Fiber, almost a gray to my eye, and the look and finish seem almost industrial, which suits me just fine. I did some very unscientific testing (attempting to bend and twist the print with bare hands) and the material seems much stiffer than normal PLA, and it takes a lot of force to break something printed with the Carbon Fiber PLA. While it may not be as flexible or temperature resistant as a reinforced Nylon, it is much more forgiving when it comes to printing, storage, and damage to your wallet! I will definitely be adding this to my stocked materials to use anytime I need a part that requires some structural integrity.

sunlu rainbow, carbon fiber and wood is some nice filament that’s super easy to work with!

Sunlu rainbow pla. Printed at 235c at a .1 layer height on my Prusa mk3. I decided to go with tougher prints to really test this rainbow filament out and it’s amazing. For the wood and carbon fiber I used a hardened nozzle. There was some stringing but that cleaned up nicely with a pass on my heat gun. No issues or failures on any of these filaments and I highly recommend. I’m also writing a full article on this rainbow filament on Inov3D.net. Great filament and I highly recommend it
