Some tips for choosing the right 3-inch quadcopter propellers

When shopping for 3-inch propellers, length and pitch are the two biggest factors. The length is measured by whatever diameter of a disc the propeller makes while it’s spinning, and pitch is measured by the travel distance a propeller makes in a single full rotation.

Props with a smaller diameter or pitch will spin faster with less effort from the motor, resulting in a smoother flight. Of course, bigger props with higher diameter and pitch will be faster, so it’s a matter of preference.

As for materials: carbon fibre props are stiff, which makes for smoother flying, whereas plastic props are generally more durable – they will serve your quadcopter well for much longer than other propeller materials.
